The campaign for the people trying to get ahead

The cost is your future.

They wasted your money. Now there is a new tax on the money you use to build things. The business you start, the shares you buy with what you save. From July next year, when you sell, the Government takes at least 30 cents of every dollar of profit above inflation, whatever you earn.

Get Ahead is the fight back. Every business out. Everyday investors out. The family trust tax dropped before it starts.

Get Ahead is tradies, small business owners, founders, investors and everyday Australians who want the chance other generations had.

What this is about

You built it. You saved for it. Now they want more of it.

For more than 25 years, if you built something and held it for more than a year, you paid tax on only half the profit when you sold. That recognised you had already paid tax on the income you saved, or on the business while trading. The Government has scrapped it.

It hits the people starting out hardest.

30 centsat least, in every dollar of profit above inflation, whatever you earn. On savings you already paid income tax on. From 1 July 2027.

They told us it was about fairness. It is about money.

$1 trillionin debt. And not much to show for it. Snowy 2.0 alone went from $2 billion to $22 billion.

And they are not finished.

July 2028The trust tax kicks in, if it passes. It has not. It is in Parliament now and can be stopped.

What we are going to win

We are not asking for much. Three things.

It takes a minute.

Find out what it costs you. Then tell your MP.

Who is behind this

Who we are.

Tradies, small business owners, founders, investors and the young couple trying to get a start. Get Ahead belongs to the people who join it, not to any one of us.

Chip in

The other side has deep pockets. We have you.

Everyday Australians, business owners, founders and investors have put their own money in. Every dollar goes to explaining this to the people it hits. We keep you up to date with how it is going.
